OPERATION IN VIETNAM
In response to the needs
of the innocent children who are suffering the anguish of living the consequences
of poverty in a post war nation, Far East Help Foundation devotes time,
trying to improve the lives of these children by dealing with the causes of
their suffering. Our projects are grouped into two major areas: long-term
development focusing on education, vocational training, health care, and
short-term emergency relief, such as providing food, shelter and medical
care.
EDUCATION
Far East Help Foundation
helps children who have discontinued their education at an early age and
gives them an opportunity to go back to school. The foundation also supports
the center to provide classes to help illiterate children catch-up to the
grade level equivalent of public schools. These classes are a bridge to lead
wandering children to regular public education.

DaLat
City
Far East Help Foundation begins a new project that helps the children
in rural areas of DaLat. This project
is focused on education and basic needs for these children

Supporting poor children of DaLat city and nearby areas to
continue their education
JOB TRAINING

supports vocational training classes such as computer operating, sewing, and
embroidering to help the teenagers with little education become independent
and have an opportunity of finding a job to earn their own living.

HEALTH
CARE
In Far East Help Foundation projects,
staff and communities are frequently asked to contribute their talents in the
medical field to the Healthcare project.
HOME SWEET HOME
Our roofs are for children who are
living in bad condition homes or have been abandoned by their parents. The
staff members will attempt to fulfill the lack of their most basic needs. With this project we have tore down and
rebuilt 15 homes for the poor in 2004.

To build a new home, this unsafe house will soon be tore
down.

Clean water Project
According to Asian Development Bank,
only 21% of rural Vietnamese access to safe and clean water. With a trip to the districts as Cai Khe,
Binh Thanh, Binh Thuy in CanTho province, we have noticed that many families
have to collect water from the canals of Mekong River
or shallow ponds for bathing or washing.

This lady is collecting water from the shallow pond and this
boy just finished taking a bath in Mekong River.

In this rural area, Grandma has to collect water from this
canal put in a big jar then wait for all the dirt sink down, she will use
this water for cooking and everything else.
The Mekong
River runs from the mountain of Tibet through China,
Burma, Thailand, and Cambodia
before reaching to South Vietnam,
the river is contaminated with chemicals from factories, waste from household
sewages and other pollutants. In 2004
and 2005, FEHF has provided thousand families in rural villages with safe and
clean water from the construction of deep-drilled wells.

Isn’t the water fresh and cool Minh ?
